What digital camera is good on batteries?

I’m going on vacation in May and I need a good digital camera that won’t drain the batteries real fast when being used.I refuse to take disposable cameras,so please don’t make that as a suggestion.

      The ge cameras are pretty good on batteries you definitely want to use rechargeable ones.

      you have two options but both of them revolve around Lithium batteries … you can get cameras that have a large-ish rectangular battery that you need to recharge with a charger or you can buy a camera that uses AA batteries. If you go with one of these, then make sure you buy Lithium AA batteries otherwise you will get about 3 photos out of your average alkaline battery. and buying rechargeable AA Lithium batteries can be a better option if you will have access to powerpoints, if not buy 10 or 15 non rechargeables.

      The canon a590 is would be very good choice for camera besides such as its use of shutteraperture priority.
