What digital camera should i buy that takes quality pictures?

I have a kodak right now and i HATE IT.
I like photography but i am to poor to afford a really nice camera. But i take pictures all the time so i still want to invest in a nice, but still a little on the cheaper side, digital camera.
What brands are good?

      For about months and its still in perfectly good to go ive had mine for about 15 and it you can buy memory card for myspace youtube.
